PROFILE

Paul is the managing director and Consulting Geologist at ORE Research and Exploration Pty. Ltd.

Prior to ORE, Paul has worked as a senior Geological Consultant at Geophysical Exploration Consultants; he has worked in the research department of geology at the University of Melbourne; and he has been a research scientist at Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory of Columbia University, New York.

From 1986-1988 Paul was the Principal Investigator for the Australian Mineral Industries Research Association (AMIRA) and was awarded a research grant for the “Geochemical Criteria for Platinum Metal Exploration”, to develop new techniques for platinum metal prospecting within Australia.

From 1982-1984 Paul was a co-investigator on the AMIRA project “Precious Metal and Sulphide Immiscibility: Implications for Ore Genesis and the Importance of Source Rocks for Gold Deposits”.

From 1978-1981 he was the Principal Investigator on a number of National Science Foundation and Office of Naval Research (USA) grants in marine geology, investigating the petrology of oceanic fracture zones.

He is also a member of the Geological Society of Australia.
